Our Backyard Heroes mural series celebrates iconic Kedglians with the aim of inspiring our community to believe in themselves and their dreams. Each of our heroes embody our school values – Leadership, Service, Respect, Resilience and Kindness – and continue to represent KIS as Eagles.
Partnering with Matt Griffin, a West Auckland artist, Kedgley Intermediate will soon be home to eight murals that showcase KIS students who are succeeding in a variety of industries. By seeing these murals everyday, our current students will have a constant reminder of people who have come from the same streets as them and have, through hard work and determination, become game changers and world leaders.
Our Backyard Heroes are the epitome of our mantra: Believe, Become, Inspire.
