Set netting will be banned along the North Island's west coast in an effort to save the North Island Hector's dolphin. A big thank you goes out to all the KCC members who wrote letters asking the government to make this decision - You CAN make a difference! KCC members present Hector's dolphin letters to the Minister of Conservation There are only about 100 North Island Hector's dolphins in the whole world! They in danger of becoming extinct. Wellington KCC members presented letters written by KCC members to the Minister of Conservation, Sandra Lee. The letters asked the Minister to help Hector's dolphin by banning the use of setnets where the North Island Hector's dolphins live.
	The Wellington KCC members took along a setnet and a plastic dolphin to show the Minister what can happen to dolphins.
	The Minister of Conservation listened closely as Hannah said, "Don't let this happen to Hector's dolphins please."
	The KCC members hand over their letters and the letters written by KCC members around the country.
