| A Story... One day Jimmy realised that his favourite
tree in the garden was old and it was going to die. Jimmy was very upset. He bought
some more Swamp Trees to plant so he would always have them in his garden. Jimmy
decided to plant the Swamp Trees in the back paddock instead of in the front paddock where
the old one was. He had finished planting his new trees by lunchtime and was very
pleased with himself.
Jimmy watched and waited for the new Swamp Trees to start growing - but they did not
grow. The Swamp Trees began to die. What had gone wrong?!?
The Swamp Trees did not grow in the back paddock because it was too dry. The Swamp
Tree liked living in the front paddock because the soil was very wet there.
Jimmy had learnt a very important lesson. You need to learn about the things you
care for so you can help put things right. |
